Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Physician Assistant with strong clinical expertise to join an Urgent Care/Emergency team in Roseville, California. This role is focused on delivering efficient, patient-centered care in a collaborative setting. The position involves direct patient management in outpatient, emergency, or perioperative settings and may include assisting with procedures and surgeries. Evening and weekend shifts are required, and schedules alternate weekly.
As a senior-level provider, you will serve as both a clinical expert and a mentor to less experienced physician assistants, ensuring quality and consistency in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient health data.
- Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, EKGs, imaging).
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as suturing, wound care, injections, and immunizations.
- Develop and implement patient management plans while ensuring continuity of care.
- Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment compliance, preventive care, and recovery.
- Depending on department needs:
- First assist in surgeries or procedures.
- Support inpatient rounding and admissions/discharges.
- Manage post-operative evaluations and patient recovery.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years.
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current California Physician Assistant License.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Current National Certification (PA-C).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred:
- Advanced certification in specialty area.
- Experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
Skills & Competencies
- Comprehensive physical examination and patient evaluation.
- Proficiency with diagnostic testing and interpretation.
- Strong procedural skills (suturing, injections, wound care).
- Ability to develop and implement patient management plans.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and counseling.

Week 1: Mon-Thu (12:30 PM-8:30 PM), Sat (10:00 AM-6:00 PM)
Week 2: Sun (10:00 AM-6:00 PM), Mon/Thu/Fri (12:30 PM-8:30 PM)
